Introducing the FKCo “GMROI Inventory Calculator” App – a useful, powerful and easy-to-use inventory management tool for any retailer. By answering a few easy inventory buying & selling questions, you can get an immediate calculation & display of your expected ROI (Return On Investment) and other vital inventory management metrics. The metrics will ultimately give any retailer the info they need to make critical inventory buying decisions…such as “what” and “how many” to buy, as well as expected profit margin and return on inventory investment data.

By entering answers to six (6) questions (quantity purchased, purchase cost, shipping cost, vendor discount %, selling price, and number of days expected to sell all of the product) pertaining to the purchase & sale of any given inventory item, this App will then calculate important inventory management data, such as total sales, total landed cost, gross profit dollars and percent, inventory turns and one of the most powerful inventory management metrics…GMROI (Gross Margin Return On Investment). GMROI is a metric that yields the perfect blend of inventory profitability & turnover time. In simple terms, it measures the annual dollars returned for every dollar invested in any given inventoried item.

This App was designed by the CPA firm “Friedman, Kannenberg & Company, P.C. (FKCo)”, an accounting firm that specializes in accounting, tax and consulting services to the music instrument & product retailing industry. With hundreds of music retail store clients across the U.S., FKCo originally created this App for music store owners & managers involved in the buying, selling & management of musical instrument & product inventory. But FKCo found this App has universal appeal & use in all retailing industries, and can be used by any retailer juggling day-to-day inventory buying & management decisions.
